Maintain the length of the vessel. Ever since I was a kid, I've loved swimming. Perhaps it's the feeling of weightlessness, or the (perceived) similarity to flying... either way, I've always enjoyed it. I started competing at an early age, and continued through high school, with a decent amount of success. After messing up my shoulders at the end of high school, though, I decided to stop competing. Now I swim mostly for recreation - but I still like to push myself and compete every now and again.
