A Gypsy Spirit If reincarnation truly exists then I must have been a water born creature in a previous life. Never have I felt so free as when I'm swimming. I was fearless as a child and was constantly pitching myself into the nearest body of water (usually a swimming pool). Subsequently my poor, harried mother was often plucking me out of "the drink". I taught myself to dive off the high dive in second grade and never looked back. That same year I went cliff diving at a local lake... and learned to ski as well. Now that our local pool is closed I'm back to swimming laps for an hour (four days a week) at my local YMCA. I also love snorkeling and would one day learn to scuba dive. My greatest desire is one day to swim with dolphins.
